Call For Lightning Talks
We are calling for lightning talks now. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the introduction of a new talk style, to China!
What is lightning talk?
A Lightning Talk is a short presentation given at a conference or similar forum. Unlike other presentations, lightning talks last only a few minutes and several will usually be delivered in a single period by different speakers.
In the GNOME.Asia Summit, the whole lightning talks session will be 1 hour, each lightning talk is only 5 minutes, no Q&A session. Please take into consideration any time you will need for preparation, such as projector setting.
We expected 10 Lightning talks in 1 hour which will be host in the large room.
Topic areas of interest include, and are not limited to:
Localization & Internationalization
Accessibility
Mobile platforms and thin clients
GNOME Communities
GNOME library and application development
Desktop deployments
KDE
Google Summer of Code
In short, any area of GNOME that you feel passionately about is a great area for you to speak about!
To be considered for inclusion as a speaker, submit your proposal through website with a short abstract about your topic. Add [Lightning talk] before your topic.
All interested parties are highly encouraged to send in their abstract as this is going to be a great event!
